Shrouds
Ecthalionwe sense death in her stature,
it surrounds her young figure,
the scent of danger embraces us,
and we cower from her presence,
she looks upon our pathetic selves,
and a smile moves beneath her skin,
as early stars shimmer and shine above.
She has always been,
our keeper,
our lady,
our lady of twilight,
and stars and death,
we shall always be,
her children,
her kin,
in the shade of looming forests we walk.
We love her in desperate unison,
no sacrifice would be worthy of her smile,
yet we cannot ever cease to serve,
the one as beautiful as as dusk 'ere night,
it pains us greatly to see the truth,
death is her world, life took its leave,
still, in our monstrous hearts there is joy,
only our fingers can wipe her burning tears.
She has always been,
our keeper,
our lady,
our lady of twilight,
and stars and death,
we shall always be,
her children,
her kin,
in the shade of looming forests we walk.
They worship me,
I know this,
as wolves worship the moon above,
never,
will I tell them I miss,
the warm glow of the setting Sun,
they trust,
me with their undead lives,
hounds at the feet of their mistress,
I love them while my spirit dies,
my eyes stay closed in their soft caress.
She has always been,
our keeper,
our lady,
our lady of twilight,
and stars and death,
we shall always be,
her children,
her kin,
in the shade of looming forests we walk.
I have always,
been your keeper,
your lady,
your lady of twilight,
and stars,
and death,
you shall always be,
my children,
my kin,
in the shade of,
looming,
forests,
we walk.
