Carry-all

You're everything

Carry-all
One summer night wandering all alone,
I felt tired I just wanted my home.
All my world was smashing onto the ground.
All my life just seemed a waste of time.
Now I'm here singing what it should have been
If that night I had gone home without speaking.
Ten thousand beers, cigarettes and stinky whores and my heart still bleeding around alone.
That's what it would be. It's sad. But suddenly
I felt around me your big lovely magnetic field.
You're everything you know it,
You're all and more and more,
You're something everybody should one day know.
Can you see my soul still wandering?
Without an aim or a reason to be.
Though I tried I've never found the reason why
loneliness was the best friend of mine.
