Indomite

Rain

Indomite
I’m running dry of tears to cry
With clouded eyes, I gaze upon the stars
There is no brightness and there is no light
A darkened sky to match my heart

I look upon to the blurry skies
But stars won’t glow, I will walk alone

Two hundred nights for a sunny day
Spring will come… a withered world
My autumn my own
A thousand candles for summer's grave
The sunrise is done
Winter will come and never be gone

I look upon to the blurry skies
But stars won’t glow, I will walk alone

And rain will fall!
Inside my eyes, to black the skies, to hide my cries
Rain will fall!
Beyond the clouds, where light just drowns in pain
And rain just falls in vain

I walk away with my head up high
But not for pride… so tears won’t fall
I’ll sleep away till the drought has passed
But not for fear… I won’t shed a tear
I wish for rain to pour again
To wash my tears, my pain away
To shine for me, to be my light
To be my home, my ending calm

And rain will fall!
Inside my eyes, to black the skies, to hide my cries
Rain will fall!
Beyond the clouds, where light just drowns in pain
And rain just falls in vain
