Vahrzaw

An act of contrition

Vahrzaw
Then I saw Hell open and behold, a Jew!
Clothed in a robe, dipped in blood,
His head and hair were pale like snow.
"I am the King of Kings," His voice was like thunder,
In His right hand He held a crucifix,
Out of His mouth came a sharp, forked tongue,
With which He would smite nations.
Hell follows Him.

When I saw Him, I fell like a dead man.
He placed His left hand on me, saying
"No flesh shall have peace,"
"I have the Keys of death and of Hades."
"I will make war against you."
"I will throw you on a bed of sickness,"
"And I will kill your children with pestilence."
Hell follows him.

Then I saw His thundering warhorses.
They come as sheep, but are ravenous wolves
Their subservient snorting strikes terror.
Mankind trembles, for they lay waste to the land.
He cries upon me, "I will bereave you."
His word is a woeful onslaught men must endure.
He is a carrion eater,
Hell follows Him.

Then I saw a land stripped bare,
His head and hair were dipped in blood.
"All fall short of the glory of God,"
"Look!" He cried, "All those are the beginning of sorrows."
He takes peace from the Earth,
There is nothing benign about Him
He takes pleasure in unrighteousness.
The sword of the Lord is filled with blood,
Hell follows him.
